Fold in twice to create creases and form into box shape with four corners.
Cut slits about ½ inch down the sides on each of the four corners to create 4 flaps.

Make 3 holes at the top of the planter. Be sure to have even spacing in between the holes.
Cut 3 pieces of string of equal length.
Tie the string together on one end.
Tie the other ends of the strings to the holes on the planter.

Glass Jar Planter

Materials
Old glass jars/containers or wide-mouth mason jars, cleaned thoroughly
Rocks, gravel, pebbles, or marbles
Potting mix, preferably moisture control
Seeds of choice
Water

Instructions
Add about 1-2 inches of rocks, gravel, pebbles, or marbles into your clean glass jar.
Fill the jar with potting mix and plant seeds according to packet instructions.
Care for your plant according to seed packet instructions.
Watch your plants grow!
Transfer to larger pot if necessary.

*NOTE: You may need to transfer your plants to a larger pot once they start sprouting. Some plants, particularly certain herbs, can remain in a jar if cared for properly. Refer to seed packet instructions.

Newspaper Seed Starter

Materials
1 full sheet leftover newspaper, (per box)
Potting Mix
Seeds of choice
Water

Instructions
Fold paper according to video.
Fill with potting mix and plant seeds according to instructions on seed packet.
Allow seedlings to grow by caring for it according to seed packet instructions.
Once it’s time to move the seedlings, plant in a very large pot or directly into the soil. It will biodegrade. Be sure to cover newspaper completely under soil and water well. Once you have the planter in the ground, you may want to tear away the top of the newspaper planter. (Leaving the newspaper sticking up above ground could compete with the seedling for water).
Care for your plant based on seed packet instructions and watch it grow!
