Pete Magadini & Terry Quinn "Firebird Sweet" / "Magic Mind"
In the late 70's Toronto bassist Terry Quinn and myself put together a band of young (and also established studio musicians) to do one thing; and that was to play the downstairs room of the famous Toronto venue "El Mocambo". I had asked the manager (Mike B.) if he could give us a booking then we would start rehearsing the band. Mike took a chance and booked us without hearing us. So with the event booked the guys were ready to put in the time. Here is the result. We wound up playing the room four or five times before the band - dis-banded.
In the meantime a local recording engineer had come down to check us out. I guess he liked what he heard and gave us some "on the house" studio time. Here is the result.
