SYNOPSIS:
This roundtable brings together academic researchers studying ageing, community practitioners and advocates for the elderly to address the question of Singapore's preparedness in enabling the process of 'ageing in place.' FASS academics will share their new research ranging from retirement provision to apartment design, and even on the questionable sustainability of existing social structures to handle the changes ahead. Local practitioners and advocates will also contribute their ideas on how Singapore can meet the challenges of caring for the aged today and in the years to come.
