The All Assam Students' Union took out a massive protest rally from its office towards the Raj Bhawan in Guwahati. However, the protesters were stopped midway.
The AASU activists led by Chief Advisor Samujjal Bhattacharya later submitted a memorandum to Governor Jagdish Mukhi.
Speaking to media persons later, Bhattacharya reiterated the AASU's stand on the issue stating that the student's body will continue to vehemently oppose CAB.
AASU general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi also reiterated the student bodies' stand on CAB.
Various students organisations of the region under the banner of the North East Students Organisation (#NESO) are holding protests across the region today.
