Join me as I welcome Taylor Coates as we discuss Bruce J.S. MacDonald and his role in the trial of Kurt Meyer. Meyer's trial began on 10 December 1945 after a year of investigation by the Supreme Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) and then the 1 Canadian War Crimes Investigation Unit (1CWCIU). Meyer was found guilty and sentenced him to death on 28 December 1945. His sentence would be commuted to life imprisonment and he was released from prison in 1954.

We will discuss MacDonald's role in the trial and what it meant to him and Canada more generally.
