Baselworld, the most famous and prestigious watch show held in Switzerland every year, has been cancelled due to the current level of global panic. So is this the end? Good question...

Some people think that the Swiss watch show has already run it's course and that the excuse for cancelling Baselworld 2020 was just smoke and mirrors. I'm not so sure. Time will tell. We'll have to see if the show resumes in 2021 or if the cancellation lingers. Instagram and other social media outlets has become the go-to choice for a lot of the luxury watch brands. This is not surprising, given our increasing I-want-it-now mentality and unquenchable thirst for real time, around-the-clock content and entertainment...so maybe Instagram becomes the new Baselworld!
