A short demo of the Warwick Corvette Standard bass made in Germany in 2006.

This bass has some modifications that make it slightly different from a factory instrument. The combination of the woods makes the sound well balanced, warm, but with sufficient low middles that help to cut through the mix. The tones sound clearly articulated all over the fretboard.

The recording was made using an iRig HD2 interface connected to an iPhone with the iRig Recorder App. No effects, no equalization, no compression was used, no postprocessing applied.

Technical detals and comments:
Swamp Ash body with Natural Oil finish - needs to be treated with lemon oil or beeswax
Ovangkol neck - really stable and sturdy, no adjustments needed regardless to the temperature or humidity
Wenge fingerboard - it has both warmth as well as punch; fells really wel below the fingers, the haptic response is very pleasant

The stock MEC pickups were replaced with custom-made SBS Electronics hum-cancelling pickups. The sound became more dynamic and crispy. Any combination of pickups is now possible without any hum.
The passive stock MEC electronics was replaces with Glockenklang electronics that has a push/pull master volume pot swithing between passive/active, a balance pot, and two-way equalization (bass and treble boost&cut).
The "block inlays" are just easily removable stickers.
