With Nixie QTC ('Quick Tube Change'), each tube is soldered to its own mini 'tube cell' PCB. A tube can be changed in minutes with no danger to the main PCB. A single main board is capable of driving tens of different types of Nixie Tubes. You can even completely change the tube type of your clock by installing new tube cells and tubes.

Includes GPS synchronization option - (GPS unit sold separately) and timecode/date matched tubes!

*NEW!* - Choose from a variety of fixed LED colors in the body of the clock, such as blue, red, green, UV/Purple, white/clear, or a slow changing RGB LED! You can program the LED in the body of the clock to flash with the seconds, no flash, on or off, or one LED color for AM and a different LED color for PM. The LED in the clock body can also be programmed to automatically turn off at night. Please keep in mind that the Nixie tube LED's have a different set of RGB LED's that are color programmable and are independent of the fixed LED color in the clock body. IN-8-2 Nixie tubes are almost identical in size to IN-14 tubes, however the IN-8-2 tubes have an actual "5" digit, where the IN-14 tubes have and upside down "2" digit in the place of a "5" (see product image).

The case was built and assembled by me using professional grade equipment and materials and then was polished and assembled by hand. There are no visible seams around the acrylic body (front, back, and sides) of the case, as the plastic has been bent in front and the seams are hidden in the back using a proprietary process. The PCB board was soldered by hand and assembled with the case by my me.

This QTC Nixie clock uses NOS (new old stock) IN-8-2 Nixie tubes. NOS means that they are the original Russian old stock Nixie tubes and have never been used. These tubes are very rare because they have been out of production for several decades and supplies are very scarce. The typical lifespan of a clock tube is roughly 7-10 years of continuous use. However, because of the QTC technology tubes are easily replaced and the clock can last well beyond 10 years.

To clean the acrylic case - use a damp microfiber or soft cloth to GENTLY clean. NEVER USE PAPER BASED products to clean the case. To avoid potential scratches, avoid handling the case as much as possible. Light scratches can be polished away by using a plastic polish available at most automotive stores or using Novus plastic polish.
