TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu detained at the Tirupati airport in Andhra Pradesh

N Chandrababu Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former chief minister, was detained by Renigunta police on Monday at Tirupati airport in Renigunta while on his way to Chittoor district for election campaigning.

Mirror Now's Sowmith Yakkati reports; Police refused Naidu permission to attend election events due to inconsistencies in the permits he obtained from the Election Commission. He held a sit-in on the airport floor to condemn the police's actions.
