KO II - 7 Wins + 8 Woes using Teenage Engineering KO2 EP-133 Sampler Groovebox - The Wins Win!

My personal Pros and "Doh!"s (Cons)... Wins and Woes that I've experienced in my first 2 weeks on the EP-133 K.O. 2 ( KO II ) from Teenage Engineering. Despite all the issues others have reported with the device itself, mine works mostly just fine... I do actually love using the device for the most part - and think it IS worth $300 US Dollars - but I also discovered some issues - my "woes" - that I felt should be shared - and I'll also share my opinion of some "wins" in this device design. Overall, I'm counting on Teenage Engineering to come through with some firmware updates to improve the features and software design to make it even more useful and long-lived in my studio.

The Wins win... along with my optimism for Teenage Engineering as a company to support and improve this device over time... so if someone asks me if they should buy this device, I'd likely say yes if it suits their needs on paper. But there are some issues that you may run into - so I share here in hope you can pull out less hair than I did solving or discovering them... In particular, check out the Group Muting workaround bug where the fader stops working for individual groups - which almost had me sending my device for a new one... until I figured out the fix.
