TITRATION OF CHLORIDE IONS WITH SILVER NITRATE

Описание к видео TITRATION OF CHLORIDE IONS WITH SILVER NITRATE

The difference between the solubilities of two silver salts: silver chloride and silver chromate, and their different colors is used to determine the end point of the titration of natrium chloride, in the presence of potassium chromate, with silver nitrate . The silver chloride is formed until there is no more chlorine ion to be precipitated. Further addition of silver nitrate generates a red precipitate of silver chromate which shows the end point of the titration.
