Nagara Fort | Shivappa Nayaka Fort | Cinematic Video | Hosanagara | Shivamogga tourist places

Nagara is a historic village in Shivamogga district of Karnataka State in India. Veerabhadra Nayaka of the Keladi Dynasty built a fort in 1640 and later the successor Shivappa Nayaka who took the Keladi Dynasty to its peak improved the fort by adding more structure hence the fort is also referred to as Shivappa Nayaka Fort. Nagara is about 17km from Hosanagara and 84 km from Shivamogga. Inside the fort one can see the ruins and remains of palace building, guard rooms, tanks/wells, observatory/watch tower, audience hall,.. During monsoon the place is very green and looks very beautiful. Check out this video i took during my visit to Nagara Fort.
