We’re half way through October which means Halloween is right around the corner. If you’re still searching for that perfect Halloween treat, then save this video!

These 👻 Spooky S’mores Bars are not only easy to make, but I took it up a notch and made a cookie crust using @diamondbakeryhawaii graham crackers. I grew up eating these graham crackers so it’s always fun incorporating them into my recipes. There’s just something so nostalgic about them 🥰.

Spooky S’mores Bars

Ingredients:
2 packs of Diamond Bakery Graham crackers, processed into crumbs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
4 full size chocolate bars
12 ghost shaped marshmallows

Directions:
1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.

2.) In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Then mix in egg and vanilla extract. Next, mix in flour, salt and baking powder. Stir in the graham cracker crumbs.

3.) Add the dough to a lined baking dish and smooth out into an even layer. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the center of the crust. If it comes out clean, then it is ready. If not, then continue to bake in 5 min increments until it’s done.

4.) Once the crust is finished, remove from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes. Then top with chocolate bars. The residual heat will help melt the chocolate.

5.) Next, place 12 ghost shaped marshmallows face side down.

6.) Place oven rack 2-3 levels below the broiler. Broil on LOW heat for 10-20 seconds, but keep a close eye on them because they burn easily.

7.) Lastly, use black ink frosting to drawn eyes and mouths. You can keep it simple or get creative. Enjoy!
