THE BERGAN

This is a beautiful song written by Jez Lowe.
"Imagine a small windswept village on the coast of Norway at the turn of the century. Their`s a fisherman`s wife there, turning and tossing in bed, tormented by dreams of her husband who`s out on the wild north sea. She has premonitions but she doesn`t really know that his ship has already floundered on the north east coast of England. Their`s a little graveyard there on the in an English village, the local people didn`t know the names of the fishermen, so they put the name of the ship on the gravestone, "The Bergen"
