This is a cute town I would lovee to spend more time in! If you’re going to Olympic National Park, definitely worth stopping by or coming to after exploring the national park.

While this town was founded in 1851, Indigenous people historically connected to the land of Port Townsend are the Chemakum and especially the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe. Who work to educate the public on their history and connection to the Port Townsend area.

Top things to do:

Walk along Water Street to see the beautiful Victorian Architecture
Visit the čičməhán Trail, an educational path in Port Townsend dedicated to S'Klallam history
Shop around and support local independent artists
Kayak or Paddleboard along the historic waterfront if weather permits
