1958 Jeep Willys - Gateway Classic Cars - San Antonio/Austin

Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 1958 Jeep Willys. Jeep's rich and rugged history goes back to WWII and has seen many changes and updates through the years. It doesn't matter what generation you drive; you own a piece of American history that will echo freedom for many more generations to come! A classic element of this CJ is the rebuilt, period correct f-head F4-134 Hurricane 2.2L 134CID engine mated to a refreshed 3-speed manual transmission. The "Hurricane" was not about all-out power, but the big reason why the military chose the Willys was that the motor provided good torque and was as reliable as an American soldier. The exterior was refinished in durable Line-X for rugged usage & easy clean-up. It has new military tires on white rims, a fold-down windshield, an auxiliary mounted fuel tank, a full convertible top and door/curtains, and a full spare tire. The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl. Equipment includes a roll bar, a heater, a passenger grab handle, new Racer Direct seatbelts, and black rubber floor coverings. The white three-spoke steering wheel fronts a black metal dash housing a 90-mph speedometer and readouts for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, although true mileage is unknown. Nothing embodies the statement of go anywhere and do anything better than a Jeep.
