The country may be required to rethink its fiscal consolidation plans, if it is to achieve its economic growth and deal with its debt levels. This is according to Standard Chartered Bank Chief Economist Razia Khan, who also says the country will still be able to manage its debt obligations comfortably in 2019 even as its first EuroBond loan matures. Stanchart further projects that if the current macro-economic factors remain constant, Kenya's economic growth will peak to between five point six percent in 2019 and five point eight percent.
