Drawing parallels to the adventure game "The Legend of Zelda," Brice redefines the ‘field’ as any unfamiliar place that takes one out of their regular work environment, emphasising the importance of broadening one's perspective beyond typical office settings. Through personal anecdotes and reflections, he underscores the enriching experiences and invaluable lessons learned from venturing into unfamiliar territories. Brice shares insights on cultural sensitivity, the reciprocal nature of learning, and the significance of embracing challenges with an open mind. Brice Bambara was born and grew up in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. He later moved to the United States to take English as Second Language (ESL) classes and pursue a bachelor’s degree in international politics at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts. In 2015, he completed a master’s degree in international relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Since 2016, he has been working at the Global Fund to Fight HIV,

tuberculosis and malaria where he currently serves as a civil society advocacy associate specialist.
