The Knowledge Management Programme on Green Finance Strategies and Instruments in LAC aims to strengthen the technical and operational capacities of state and non-state actors from at least 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in #greenfinance strategies and instruments, with a focus on climate and nature. It is part of the Innovation for Green Finance in LAC (IFV LAC) project, implemented by UNDP with funding from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), which seeks to promote the mobilization of green finance in the region and accelerate the implementation of national and regional climate and environmental plans.

Session 02 aims to present two successful cases of results-based financing instruments in the region: Costa Rica and Ecuador. These cases will be shared, presenting the main challenges and lessons learned while also identifying opportunities for replication in other countries of the region.

These sessions are part of the capacity-building and knowledge-generation strategy of GIF4LAC, an initiative that promotes innovative, inclusive, and sustainable financial solutions in Latin America and the Caribbean.
