The support / roam role or rather now the captain role in Vainglory update 2.0 is incredibly important and playing it correctly can often be challenging. Currently Catherine, Lance and Ardan have been the top picks if you’re playing the captain role but heroes like Flicker and Phinn can still cause a lot of trouble for the enemy team.

Since the jungle shop doesn’t spawn until 4 minutes it’s a little hard for Phinn to keep up. You’ll either need to back and buy boots or just babysit your lane carry and wait till you hit level 6. Once you hit level 6 it’s all about making some big plays with your hook. If you can pull at least one person out of the fight, your team has a very, very good chance of winning that fight.
