Pro CJ David Maraga demonstrations held in Kisii

A section of residents from Kisii and Nyamira Counties held peaceful demonstrations in solidarity with Chief Justice David Maraga after a petition was filed seeking his removal from office.

Chanting anti- Jubilee slogans, the protesters condemned the move by Nyeri town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu to petition the removal of Maraga. The Jubilee leadership led by President Kenyatta has sustained its attacks on Maraga and his three colleagues after the supreme court nullified Kenyatta's win and ordered for fresh elections.

The protesters said that the Gusii community will not tolerate the manner in which one of their own, Maraga is being treated.
