A desperate search is continuing to find a missing British teenager in Tenerife - now entering its sixth day.

Jay Slater, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, has been missing since Monday (June 17) after travelling to the Spanish island for a music festival with his friends. He last spoke to his pal Lucy Mae Law at around 8am on Monday morning before his phone died.

The teenager had been to stay in a rental apartment with people he had met on the island after a night out on Sunday, Lucy said. But their apartment was 'in the middle of nowhere' and Jay's phone ran out of battery as he set off to walk back the following morning.

Reporter James Holt is at the search base close to Masca, where Spanish Civil Guard officers and search teams are co-ordinating their efforts.
