Which is the best DCDC charger for you? | BCDC Core Vs. Classic

Описание к видео Which is the best DCDC charger for you? | BCDC Core Vs. Classic

Our DCDC battery chargers are design for the toughest conditions, but which one is going to perform best in your build? Our experts compare the BCDC Classic and the BCDC Core to help you decide. Charge while camping with an inbuilt solar regulator or while on the road — here's a comparison of our most popular BCDC chargers.

A battery charger should be installed as close as possible to the battery being charged. If your batteries are lead acid and installed under the bonnet, the charger should be under the bonnet as well to reduce the impact of voltage drop.

The BCDC Classic is designed for installation under the bonnet and it's available in 25A, 40A and 50A options. BCDC Classic battery chargers are sealed using an elastomer gel, making them hardy enough to withstand the harsh exterior environment and heat. Choose the BCDC Classic to charge for standard lead-acid or other batteries mounted in the vehicle engine bay.

Lithium batteries are not usually mounted inside the cabin, so the battery charger will also be located inside and wired to the engine bay. The BCDC Core is designed to be installed in-cabin and is available in 25A and 40A options.

Both options feature a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator and Green Power Priority. With these features the BCDC Core will charge from both solar and the alternator simultaneously, maximizing its charge rate and minimizing the load on your alternator, saving fuel.
