Let me ask you a question: are you feeling favored or feeling cursed? Which best describes your mindset from day-to-day? I’m Gary Wilkerson with a World Challenge.

I was a pastor for many years and I remember a husband coming to me in despair. He’d struggled with anger his whole life and once again had just lost his temper with his wife. He promised God it wouldn’t happen anymore, but it kept happening.

“I’ve blown it” he said, “I think I’ve ruined my marriage and I might lose my family!” Then he spoke the words he probably feared the most, “I’ve lost any favor with God, His presence is gone from me completely!”

Maybe you’ve felt like this too. Galatians 3:13 gives us the answer, “But Christ rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law, when He was hung on the cross He took upon Himself the curse for our wrongdoing.”

This young man’s heart was set free. He felt a new hope. And you can too!

Jesus’ amazing work on the cross rescued us from any possibility of a curse. Your life is favored, not cursed.
