The Canon C300 Mark iii has been my A-camera for over 3 years now. Rather than investing in a Red camera or a Sony cinema camera, I took a chance on the DGO sensor and preordered the Canon C300 mark iii sight unseen and I've never looked back. As a cinematographer, I've shot hundreds of hours and dozens of projects on this camera and I want to share a little bit of my experience as an operator, director of photography, and owner of a production company.

The C300 mark iii hits well above it's weight class as a cinema camera but for some reason seems to get overlooked in a lot of cases and I'm here to tell you that you should seriously be considering the current Canon Cinema EOS line if you're in the market for a cinema camera.
