The completion of these phases is anticipated to improve internet penetration in the Philippines from 33% to 65% by 2027, potentially benefiting around 70 million Filipinos.

The DICT has secured a *$288 million loan from the World Bank*, which is crucial for funding the remaining phases of the project. This financial support allows the DICT to expedite the implementation of the NFB while also relying on the national budget for additional funding.
