When I bought an airplane the reality surprised me

I bought a 1975 Cessna 182 back in 2016 and the reality of ownership surprised me, both in some good ways and in some challenging ways. I wanted to document some of the things that stood out here so that it might help you in case you are considering airplane ownership, too.

If we are meeting for the first time, I'm Charlie Gasmire, a commercially licensed pilot and airplane owner, and I make helpful content for private pilots. I own a 1975 Cessna 182 in Dallas, Texas, and make content sharing my lessons learned along the way so that it might help others.
