Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a complex and challenging anomaly. Attention to every tiny detail is crucial to achieving the best outcomes. The cause of congenital diaphragmatic hernia is unknown. A few cases are genetic, and a few mutations are known to be associated with CDH; however, the majority of cases happen sporadically.

Researchers at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia work closely with the clinical teams to gain a deeper understanding of what causes CDH, find new treatments, and share their expertise and knowledge.
