I have always wanted to see The Patty Duke Show in Color. So, I finally took the time to challenge myself and my skills to see if I could make it happen. Well, I did it. I colored by hand around 1,000 individual frames and colorized season three of the show. Many shows were being shot in color by 1965. ABC would have pushed for The Patty Duke Show to be shot in color by the fall of 1966.

I read that United Artists did not want to go through the hassle of doing it in part since it would have required more time with the two main characters being played by the same actress. If the show went to color by the fall of 1965 or 1966, I would like to think that the show would have looked something like this. I still have more to learn about the art of colorizing film but am pleased with my work with this being my first time doing this. Enjoy this if you're a classic TV geek like myself! ;)
