The Toyota Fortuner Legender is the premium version of the Fortuner, built for those who want extra style, luxury, and technology. It comes with a powerful 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 204 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque. The SUV gets a 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 drive types.

In terms of design, the Legender looks sportier than the regular Fortuner — it gets a dual-tone front bumper, quad-LED headlamps with sequential turn indicators, and stylish 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The front has a unique split-grille design and the rear includes dynamic LED tail lamps.

Inside, the cabin feels premium with a black-and-maroon dual-tone interior, soft-touch materials, and leather upholstery. You also get ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an 11-speaker JBL sound system.

For safety, Toyota offers seven airbags, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill-Assist Control, and a 360-degree camera on the top model. The new Legender also includes Toyota Safety Sense features such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Alert.

The SUV measures around 4.8 metres in length and offers a 225 mm ground clearance, making it capable of handling both city and off-road conditions. It comes with an 80-litre fuel tank, ensuring a good touring range.

The Fortuner Legender is priced at around ₹43.5 lakh for the 4x2 AT variant and ₹47.5 lakh for the 4x4 AT variant (ex-showroom).

Its main rivals are the MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, and Hyundai Tucson Diesel.
