In this video I am going to install a manual momentary switch on my Harbor Freight 12,000lb winch. This will be used as a backup switch to the remote or if I just want to used a manual switch from the toolbox. If testing contact with a multi-meter you will have to disconnect the wires from the remote switch going to the solenoid or the meter will read through the coil on the winch solenoid and give you continuity all the time when you press the in and out buttons on the remote. Black is the ground and there is no need to remove it to test.
