-Clarification on mutual transfer under Rule 38
• As per the DOP order dated 10.4.2024, mutual transfer application shall be considered by online mode. Now the following guidelines are issued.
• After final allotment list is released, both employees must provide their confirmation/ request for extension/ cancellation within 7 working days.
• If none submitted any request within that period both will be deemed to have been accepted the transfer.
• Thereafter both employees will be relieved after 15 days period.
• No cancellation or extension will be entertained after 7n working days and they have to join the allotted unit.
• If an employee requests for extension, extension may be granted up to a maximum period 60 days. After the extension period both the officials shall be relieved.
• In no case they will be retained after 60 days extension period.
• If one employee submits for cancellation request, it will be cancelled automatically to other employee also.
• Only the employee who makes the request to cancel the transfer will lose one transfer opportunity under rule 38.
• Officials approved for mutual transfer shall be relieved within 30 days of final allotment.
