Sculpting a Hollow Hand w/ Robert Mickelsen

Glass Central Station is honored to present this content from the 2019 Glass Art Society Conference in St. Petersburg Florida. Robert Mickelsen has been lampworking since the 70s and known for his networked sculpture among a diverse skill set. Beyond exhibiting at respected museums and galleries, he has published numerous articles and taught extensively at major glass schools and received the GAS Lifetime Membership Award during the conference. In this demonstration, he created a 1:1 hollow sculpture of his hand.
