If there was a boat that incorporated everything Chaparral had learned in all it's time up to 2003, the 243 is it. Styling ideas were taken from the award winning SSi sportboats, added storage features came from the new generation Signature cruisers and it was all wrapped in the family minded Sunesta lifestyle that has become boating's most popular craze.

Complete with a wraparound sportboat windshield, multiple huge locking storage compartments, and twin bucket seats with flip-up bolsters, the 243 is a go-anywhere and do-anything pleasure boat that truly is a pleasure. Transom Storage Trunk:
Chaparral borrowed a styling cue from their Signature cruisers and added a large hinged storage trunk in the walk-through area that is sizeable enough to store fenders, lines, and any other gear you need at hand.

Extended Swim Platform:
They made the ultimate watersports boat of the time all that much better with the extended swim platform that is mounted closer to the water than most and includes a three step ladder.

Self Bailing Cockpit:
Because the floorboards are above the waterline, any water that collects in the cockpit is routed directly overboard. The drains around the ski locker also direct water overboard.
