Navigating a Design Career with Jenny Wen | Figma at Waterloo

Описание к видео Navigating a Design Career with Jenny Wen | Figma at Waterloo

Figma at Waterloo hosted Jenny Wen for an insightful talk about Waterloo and her design career. Originally recorded November 15, 2024, at Den 1880 in Uptown Waterloo.

Jenny is the outgoing Director of Product Design at Figma, where she supports a portfolio of products including FigJam, Figma Slides, Figma Community, two new & top-secret initiatives, and User Growth. She led the design of FigJam, brought it to market, and helped grow it into a whiteboard people love.

Still, some of her proudest achievements at Waterloo were: making the UW/UX logo that’s still in use, being decorating chair for IRS and making all of E5 6th floor food-themed, and starting a few different Systems class traditions.

Whether you're just starting out in design or you're already deep into your career, Jenny shares her unique path in the design world — how she built her career and found success & fulfillment through design.
