Chevrolet 2500 HD Overlander | Ready to travel Australia

The 2500 HD CHEV platform is proving to be one of the most popular full time touring platforms. These trucks are remanufactured by GMSV and with more and more on our roads the support, knowledge and serviceability post sale is getting better and better.

Muz reached out 7-8 months before the vehicle was due to arrive and we started working on the build spec from the ground up. Offroad Creative was tasked to build the ultimate canopy setup along with securing their newly released 2020+ CHEV 2500 front bar.

Muz really wanted to fit 37" tyres but try to keep the height as low as possible. The only way this can be achieved is by trimming for wheel clearance and doing a bit of R&D on the best fitment available.

A 2-3" suspension lift was added utilising custom valved King 2.5" Remote Res Adjustable Shocks along with a Superlift UCA / Torsion key kit. We Reset the rear leaf springs and added a leaf to the setup and added a set of leaf helper air bags for when the van is on the rear.

The amazing looking finish is both a protection and appearance package in one. The textured black finish to the front bar and canopy looks amazing with the satin clear PPF applied to the whole cabin of the vehicle. Factory CHEV paint to the door handles along with badges and mirrors adds a nice 2 tone touch. The beauty with PPF (Paint protection film) on the vehicle is its self healing properties and the ability to withstand general scratches and will look good for years to come.

Method 305NV 20 inch Bronze Wheels look amazing wrapped in BFG MT 37x13.5x20 tyres will help in all conditions and the factory tyre pressure sensors were swapped from the original wheels.

We installed our Big Dog Builds V1 accessory rack and LED package along with a Switchpro SP9100 switching unit which controls all LED light outputs along with triggering the ARB twin compressor in the Offroad Creative Canopy. Airbagman wireless pressure control will then allow on board up / down pressure to the leaf helper airbags.

Our GME comms package was installed with the 1.2M antenna for both UHF and Celfi units.
