The presentation is by World Vision, the Christian humanitarian organisation. The speakers are Dr Dhanan Senethirajah, World Vision Country Director, and Mr Clarence Sutharshan, Director Corporate Partnership.

Founded in 1950 in the USA, World Vision has operated in Sri Lanka since 1977. Its campaign against poverty and injustice serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. The programs are child-focused, community-based, participatory, and sustainable.

In Sri Lanka World Vision manages 29 long-term community development programs in 20 out of 25 districts in the country. In the Northern Province, World Vision works in Mannar, Jaffna, Kilinochchi, and Mullaitivu, expanding to Vavuniya. Also in selected DS divisions such as Delft, Chavakachcheri, Chankanai, Kandawalai, and Karachchi.

The main sectors are Health and Nutrition, Economic Development, Water and Sanitation, Education, and Child Protection.
