We recently visited the Maryland State Police Aviation Command. Operating a fleet of 10 Leonardo AW139s, the Maryland
State Police Aviation Command flies medevac and
search-and-rescue missions — on top of its law enforcement
function — to help the protect citizens of the Mid-Atlantic state. We had the opportunity to sit down with pilots and troopers from the command to learn more about their missions, including the launch of their whole blood program back in May 2023.
