When you’re treating dry eyes it’s important to use a combination of different therapies in order to improve quality of life and symptoms. While I tend to favor newer interventional treatments over the older options like artificial tears, it’s important to recognize when artificial tears can help a patient. Remember, artificial tears are wonderful for making your eye feel better as well as see better in a very short term setting.
