Tom is a UK based neurological specialist physiotherapist who started his career in 2014, working for the NHS, where his extensive knowledge and skill allowed him to quickly promote to the grade of Senior Physiotherapist in under two years after qualifying. Over time, and with a constant drive to succeed, he went on and progressed to specializing in Neurological, Elderly and General rehabilitation as well as actively participating in research projects within these fields. Tom has a vast amount of experience in treating patients with all manner of common, complex and rare conditions but has a particular interest in stroke recovery and neuro-degenerative diseases. Tom holds further post-graduate qualifications from the BBTA in the Bobath Approach of neurological rehabilitation as well as additional certifications in working with special patient groups including Spinal Cord Injury, Amputees and Bariatric care. Tom established his private company, TMH Physiotherapy, in 2018 and has amassed a reputation for providing an exceptional level of high-quality rehabilitation ever since.
In 2022, Tom was approached by the University of Nottingham (UoN) where he now guest lectures on a regular basis to assist in teaching of the Neurology based modules for the undergraduate Physiotherapy Degree program helping to mold the next generation of Physiotherapists.
In addition to this, Tom, is currently undertaking an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice at the University of Derby. On completion, this will provide Tom with the ability for independent prescribing of medicines, which will open up further opportunities to expand the services offered by TMH Physiotherapy in the future.
