In partnership with our friends at Smith Optics, we're pleased to offer a look at Smith’s all-new Nexus MIPS Helmet, courtesy of a review from The Low Pressure Podcast’s Mark Warner.

Equipped with Smith’s most advanced features and technologies, the progressive, lightweight and low-profile design of the Nexus is an evolution of the brand’s popular Quantum helmet, and is designed to hold up season after season. The Nexus is highlighted by Smith’s Koroyd technology for lightweight, energy-absorbing, and fully ventilated impact protection, which offers more efficient impact absorption over standard EPS foam-constructed helmets. The Nexus’s hybrid construction also includes a durable exterior with an impact-resistant exoskeleton that is blended into a lightweight shell, and the MIPS Brain Protection System, which offers additional safeguards by reducing rotational forces caused by angled impacts. On the fit and comfort front, a quick-release Fidlock strap buckle provides a secure closure that you can operate with one hand, and the BOA 360 Fit System allows for customizable conformity on the fly, while the sweat-wicking Ionic Plus liner adds warmth and minimizes odour inside the shell. And to top it all off, the Nexus boasts a whopping 24 vents, plus Smith’s AirEvac ventilation system with a dual-action shutter system, which controls the front and rear vents independently, and is designed to easily integrate with Smith goggles to keep airflow moving for both comfort and optimized, fog-free visibility.
