Welcome to this elementary Mandarin class. I am Sisi Laoshi.
生病shēngbìng：get sick
我生病了。Wǒ shēngbìng le. I am sick. 我生病了。
疼téng：pain
头疼tóuténg：headache
背疼bèiténg： back pain
牙疼yáténg： toothache
肚子疼dùzi téng：tummy ache
胃疼wèiténg：stomachache
嗓子疼sǎngzi téng：throat pain
感冒gǎnmào：to have a cod
发烧fāshāo： to have a fever
咳嗽késòu：cough药yào：medication
吃药chīyào：take medicine
药店yàodiàn：pharmacy

爸爸头疼，所以没去上班。Bàba tóuténg，suǒyǐ méiqù shàngbān. Dad had a headache, so he didn't go to work.
我奶奶身体不舒服。Nǎinǎi shēntǐ bù shūfu. My grandma is not feeling well.
奶奶去医院看医生。Nǎinai qù yīyuàn kàn yīshēng. Grandma went to the hospital to see a doctor.
医生让奶奶住院。Yīshēng ràng nǎinai zhùyuàn. The doctor admitted Grandma to hospital.
奶奶下个星期出院。Nǎinai xià gè xīngqī chūyuàn. Grandma is being discharged from hospital next week.

对duì：a proposition, it means "to" or "towards" an object or target.

跑步对身体好。Pǎobù duì shēntǐ hǎo. Running is good for health.

感冒了要多喝水。Gǎnmào le yào duō hēshuǐ. Drink plenty of water if you have a cold.
