Diving Vaersenbaai (aka Kokomo Beach) Curaçao | The Shore Dive Collection | TropicLens - 4K

Vaersenbaai is one of our favorite dive sites on Curaçao. Not only because it has a terrific reef with a very nice drop off, but there are so many other highlights that you can’t fit them all into a single dive. While the massive car wrecks, metal shark sculpture and sunken pontoon offer (fairly deep) artificial objects, a swim along the base of the towering cliffs provides a completely different ecosystem. I have not seen so many brain corals in one place.

We also caught a few fish and other creatures that were new to us, which is always exciting. During several day dives, we saw a flamefish, cero and sailors choice, while a Caribbean furry lobster and cup corallimorph were highlights on the night dive.
