The story of how I met Jewel and heard ended up in a small village getting tattoo'd by Whang Od, she is the oldest tattoo artist in the world and a legend in the Philippines.

Getting to her is an adventure. It took us a total of 22 hours between the buses, jeepneys, private cars, and hikes, we finally made it to Buscalan Village. Unfortunately, at her current age, Whang Od can no longer tattoo full designs. She still does her signature which consists of three dots. She is still very lively and happy. We caught her joking and laughing with the people watching. She even made a joke about me and Jewel

Every time I look at this tattoo it brings a smile to my face and reminds me of the adventure I took to get it. This was one of my favorite experiences I have had through all my travels thank you so much Jewel and Whang OD for all the great experiences and memories.
