The stony hills continue as we work our way to Ashburton river. This country is hard and dry but we find some waterholes on our way. We also find aboriginal artefacts which are the clues to the wild. This is a hard and thirsty stretch for the camels. A few days between water we find a great spot for the camels with good feed but we are surprised to find the water is salty. Needing to top up our supplies we must get through the stony hills and reach the Ashburton river.
