How to Re-use Your Old Potting Soil for Another Grow (Baseline Method)

Описание к видео How to Re-use Your Old Potting Soil for Another Grow (Baseline Method)

Ever get tired of throwing away your used pottig soil after a grow? Ever wonder if you can re-use it? Well you can! Most potting soils can be re-used many times over. I've been reusing the same soil for a couple of years now. If you'd like a bare minimum way to reuse your old potting soil then this video is for you! Although there are more ingredients you can add if you wish (I do), this is a base line method to reuse your soil.

I highly suggest you don't cheap out on the compost you amend with. Good compost is loaded with organic matter and diverse microbiology that will help your plants thrive. Obviously making our own would be best, but not all of us can. I prefer Biovast fungal dominant compost from SD Microbes. My second choice is Malibu Compost, which is available nationwide at nurseries and home improvement stores. I also like to add dolomite lime to buffer the pH levels as well as provide a source of calcium and magnesium.

This mix is great for seed starting and as a base potting soil to build from. I personally like to add trace minerals, humic acid, bokashi, biochar and top it all of with either Nature's Living Soil concentrate or Earth Dust from The Green Sunshine Co for a water only grow. I'll do a video on that in the future.
