UN commissioner Chris Sidoti has ridiculed the Israeli foreign ministry’s reaction to a new inquiry that accuses Israel of committing genocide in Gaza.

The commission’s 72-page report concludes that Israel carried out most of the acts defined under the Genocide Convention and that Israeli leaders displayed intent to eliminate Palestinians in Gaza as a group.

Sidoti said the government’s replies had become predictable and unoriginal, saying that they looked like they were “produced by chat GPT these days.”

He said Israel never engages with the evidence and instead spends vast resources on propaganda,
