Very muddy! The bad rain from the previous night was laying heavily on the trail, it was pretty much a fight from start to finish - with the last couple of hours being quite epic! Mostly waterlogged farm tracks, which were not too bad, but, oh dear, the stretches of woodland were a nightmare! The rain sits in those woods for ages, it doesn't have the same drainage as the fields, and the sun struggles to penetrate the denser ones, which = lots of MUD! Anyway, no harm done, all good character building stuff!
