To be able to get to the point of understanding fully the whole essence of marriage, divorce must be taken out of the way. In Christ, God did not divorce humanity.

In marriage, we are learning how God would not divorce humanity but preserves the whole humanity blameless and incorruptible for God's purpose.

Historically, from the beginning and foundation of marriage as culturally instituted by God, only the parents of the couples would officiate the wedding of couples, and not religious leaders.
Stop the aberration and deviation from the core truth, and let's go back to the genesis of marriage.

Marriage is socio-cultural and not of any religious essence. And so, the core cultural values of marriage need to be fully preserved and strictly adhered culturally to avoid disobeying God's standard or deviating from the core transcendence in marriage.
