Fans of Darkness Falls and 80s fan favourite C.H.U.D. cannot miss this independent PG-13 horror movie, focusing on jump scares and atmosphere over extreme gore.

College students Ada Collins and Kaylee Miller are working on their senior year project focusing on urban legends. Their research leads them to investigate the sinister myth of the Melon Heads and the wicked Doctor Crow at his abandoned mansion, the House of Crow. The legend, which is popular in parts of Ohio and Connecticut, tells of Dr. Crow, who conducted experiments on orphaned children, injecting them with a drug that caused malformations and, specifically, enlarged or "melon-shaped" heads. As the girls delve deeper, they find themselves face-to-face with the monstrous creatures and the maniacal doctor.

Directed by Eddie Lengyel (American Poltergeist: The Curse Of Lilith Ratchet), an Ohio native who grew up familiar with the local "Melon Heads" urban legend, the film's overall narrative structure focuses on a haunted/legendary location (the House of Crow). This aligns with ghost stories or urban legend narratives, especially since the source legend carries a supernatural component.
